The Six kalma in islam know as Six main phrases, Six traditions, 6 kalma English Urdu translation. These important phrases are taught to every Muslim child all around the world because this kalimas considered as the pillar of Islam. Each kamila indicate different meanings such as :

  • First kalma/kalima:     Tayyab means the word of purity
  • Second kalma/kalima:   Declaration of faith (shahada)
  • Third kalma/kalima:     Azkar (remembrance of Allah) 
  • Forth kalma/kalima:       Tauheed (oneness of Allah.)
  • Fifth kamila:              Astaghfar (seeking forgivness)
  • Sixth kalma/kalima         Radde-e-kuffer (words of rejecting or disbelief)

First kalma -Tayyab

          English Translation First Kalma:

There is none worthy of worship except ALLAH,  (and) Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is the Messenger of ALLAH.

 Second Kalma – Shahadat (Testimony)

English Translation Second Kalma (Shahadat):

I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except ALLAH, the One alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is His Servant and Messenger.

Ashahado an laa ilaaha illal laho wahdahoo laa shareeka lahoo wa ash hado anna Mohammadan abdo hoo wa rasoolohoo

Third Kalma- Tamjeed (Glorification)

English Translation Third kalma:

Glory be to Allah and Praise to Allah, and there is no God but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. And there is no Might or Power except with Allah.

Subhanallahe wal hamdulillahe wa laa ilaha illal laho wallahooakbar. wala haola wala quwwata illa bilahil aliyil azeem

Forth kalma – Tauheed (oneness of Allah)

4th kalma

English Translation Fourth kalma:

“There is none worthy of worship except ALLAH. He is alone and has no partner. To Him belongs the Kingdom and for Him is all praise. He gives life and causes death. And He is alive. He will not die, never, ever. Possessor of Majesty and Reverence. In His hand is all good and He has power over everything”.

Laa ilaha illal lahoo wahdahoo la shareekalahoo lahul mulko walahul hamdo yuhee wa yumeeto wa hoa haiy yul la yamooto abadan abada zul jalali wal ikraam beyadihil khair. Wa howa ala kulli shayi in qadeer

Fifth kamla – Astaghfar (seeking forgivness)

English Translation Fifth kalma:

I seek forgiveness from ALLAH, my Lord, from every sin I committed knowingly or unknowingly, secretly or openly, and I turn towards Him from the sin that I know and from the sin that I do not know, Certainly You (O ALLAH!), You (are) the knower of the hidden things and the Concealer (of) the mistakes and the Forgiver (of) the sins. And (there is) no power and no strength except ALLAH, the Highest, the Most Great”.

Astaghfirullah rabbi min kullay zambin aznabtuho amadan ao khat an sirran ao alaniatan wa atubu ilaihee min az zambil lazee aalamo wa min az zambil lazee la aalamo innaka anta allamul ghuyoobi wa sattaarul oyobi wa ghaffar uz zunoobi wala ha ola wala quwwata illa bila hil aliyil azeem

Sixth kalma – Radde-e-kuffer (words of rejecting or disbelief)

English Translation Sixth kalma:

O ALLAH! I seek refuge in You from that I should not join any partner with You and I have knowledge of it. I seek Your forgiveness from that which I do not know. I repent from it (ignorance) and I reject disbelief and joining partners with You and of falsehood and slandering and innovation in religion and tell-tales and evil deeds and the blame and the disobedience, all of them. I submit to Your will and I believe and declare: There is none worthy of worship except ALLAH and Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is His Messenger”.

Allahumma innii a’udhu bika min an ushrika bika shai-anw- wa ana a’lamu bihii. Was tagh fi ru ka limaa laa alamu bihee. Tubtu anhu wa tabarra-tu min al-kufri wash-shirki wal-kizdhbi wal-ghiibati wal-bid’ati wan-namiimati wal fawaahishi wal-buhtani w-al-ma’aasii kulliha.
