 Cairo prayer time

Cairo, which means ( the victorious) in Arabic, we pronounce it al-Qahirah which is the capital city of Egypt, and that is also considered the largest city in Africa. About a thousand years have passed, Cairo was found on the same spot near the Nile delta( river); moreover, it is about 14km away from the river.

If we talk about great Cairo, it covers a large land area and is the most significant metropolitan area in Egypt. It is also the largest urban area in Africa under 214sq km of land, the middle east, and many Arab countries. Many counties including in Great Cairo, such as Helwan, Naseer, Ramadan city, Maadi, Aslamm, and many other satellite towns.

Religion in Cairo

Islam is the powerful religion in Cairo(Egypt), which is estimated at 90% of the population. Islam starts spreading in Egypt in the 7th century, also becomes a home for many reputed scholars, just like the famous Imam Shafi. One of the oldest Islamic education institutes name Al Azhar university is also a home for Egypt in the whole world. Most of the people who live in Cairo are  Muslims, and there is no doubt that religion play in Egyptian society like every other. 10% of Cairo population is Christian also few numbers Jews like two hundred also living here, which is a problem for Egypt society; the Jewish population is moving abroad to Egypt from the US and Israel

What is Prayer?

Prayer is a word that is derived from the Arabic language meaning salaah or salaat. Prayer also has different meanings such as devotion, supplication, service, pleading, blessing, or also known as namaz( from Persian). Namaaz is one of the important and second pillars of Islam after la ilaha muhammadur rasullah (There is no god but Allah and his Messenger Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)) which is obligatory on a daily basis according to standardized prayer time after declaring faith in Allah and His Messenger Prophet (SWT).

Importance of prayer

Namaaz is the only way to communicate with ALLAH(SWT) because Allah wants to stay connected with us as person to person. It is a physical, mental, or spiritual act of worship of Allah that is observed five times a day by Muslims every day at the prescribed time. It made it compulsory for every Muslim all around the world.

We also describe the five( fajr, dhuhr, asar, maghrib, and isha) compulsory prayer timing and rakaats individually as every prayer rakaats is different from the other well:

Fajr prayer time in Cairo:

Fajr is the start of the day. Moreover, fajr consists of 4 rakaats, two farz, and two sunnah. Fajr prayer offers before the sunrise as we can say dawn time, and remains until the sun shows up. Fajr time ends when the sunrise.

Dhuhr prayer time in Cairo:

Dhuhr prayer offers in the mid of the day . This namaaz consists of 12 rakaats in which 4 sunnah which offers at first then 4 farz offer after sunnah then 2 sunnah and 2 nafal. Its time ends before the asar time in Cairo. When zuhr prayer start, it is also known as zawal time when the sun reach at its peak.

Asar prayer time in Cairo:

Asar payer offers in the afternoon also knows as afternoon payer. It consists of 8 rakaats. 2 sunnah, and 2 farz namaaz. Asar time for today in Cairo start and ends right before the Maghrib prayer.

Maghrib prayer time in Cairo:

Maghrib prayer time offers after asar, also know as sunset prayer. It consists of 7 rakaats. 3 farz, 2 sunnah and, 2 nafal, and its time ends when the sky turns dark, and we can say before isha prayers. But mostly we should try to offer this prayer asap because of its short timings.

Isha prayer timing in Cairo:

It is known as night prayers, because it deliver during the last part of the day and can be offer before the fajr prayer. It consists of 17 rakaats: 4 sunnah, 4 farz, 2 sunnah, 2 nafal, 3 witr and 2 nafal.

In between all these prayers, we have a gap for like 2 to 3 hours; we can pray anytime in this according to specific namaaz. But we should always try to offer prayer right after azaan because it is consider more close to Allah(SWT)
